# A design brief to adapt

Based on the Field Notes Papers direction. These are example requirements and proposed acceptance checks, not proof that an implementation passes.

## Reader goal

Help a visitor choose a note, open it and continue reading.

## Content hierarchy

Show the title, topic and summary before asking the visitor to open the article.

## Main interaction

Open a note, move through its sections and continue to another article.

## Hover constraint

Keep the outer hover area stable while the paper responds to the pointer.

## Mobile check

At the review width, inspect wrapped titles, summaries and links for clipping or overlap.

## Keyboard check

Reach and open the article link with the keyboard, with a visible focus indication.

## Review boundary

Compare the implementation with the approved direction. Treat a proposed new visual direction as a separate decision.

## Use it for your own page

- Page / audience:
- Approved direction and reference:
- Content that must remain visible:
- Main behaviour and mobile differences:
- Evidence and constraints:
- Acceptance checks:
- Decisions still open:

Confirm the direction, then inspect the actual implementation. Reopen a decision when a concrete usability, accessibility or evidence problem calls for it.
